Born on the Same Day, Die on the Same Day: Murang’a Couple Sammy and Nina Ndichu Tragically Killed in Road Accident

A family in Ndakaini village, Gatanga, Murang’a County, is grieving the tragic loss of Sammy Jonnes Ndichu and his wife, Nina Wambui Ndichu. The couple died in a road accident on December 12 along the Maai Mahiu–Naivasha route. Friends, family, and the community were left shocked and heartbroken.

Sammy Jonnes Ndichu Mwangi, BORAQS Registration No. A2063, who passed on 12/12/25 in the afternoon, along with his loving wife, Nina Ann Wambui.” Funeral and memorial arrangements were also shared.

Family and friends held a memorial service on Wednesday, December 17, at PCEA Mt. Olives in Njathaini. A candlelight vigil followed on Thursday, December 18, at their home in Kiambu. The couple was laid to rest together on Friday, December 19, at their family home in Ndakaini village. They leave behind their four-year-old son.

Sammy and Nina shared the same birthday. Sammy was born on April 23, 1993, and Nina on April 23, 1995. Remarkably, they also passed away on the same day. This has touched everyone who knew them.
