H.E Uhuru Kenyatta has given renown personalities Caroline Mutoko and Julie Gichuru appointments in parastatals in a move to give a new look to state corporations.
Radio queen radio personality Caroline Mutoko who is currently the group marketing manager at Radio Africa Group Limited has been appointed to serve on the board of the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.
Also appointed on the same board is the Chief Operating Officer at Royal Media Services Farida Karonney.
Citizen TV‘s Julie Gichuru has been been appointed to the board of Brand Kenya. Her experience in media and passion to paint Kenya through good will give a broader view in marketing Kenya better in local and international media.
The President named more than 350 appointees in the changes as he seeks to stamp his authority on the crucial sector at the mid-point of his first term in office.
Other key figures are Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore and KCB CEO Joshua Oigara both appointed to the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board. Billionare Chris Kirubi’s daughter, Maryanne Kirubi has also gained from the appointments
