Former Shinyalu MP Daniel Khamasi Dies at 79, Leaving Legacy of Dedicated Public Service

Former Shinyalu Member of Parliament, Daniel Khamasi, has died at 79 after a prolonged illness. He passed away on Tuesday morning at a Nairobi hospital. Khamasi served two consecutive terms from 1997 to 2007 and was a respected figure in Kakamega County politics. His death has left family, friends and constituents mourning.

During his time in office, Khamasi focused on improving the lives of his constituents. He championed infrastructure development, education, and social welfare programs in Shinyalu. His approachable style and dedication to the people earned him widespread admiration. Many remember him for listening to the concerns of ordinary citizens.
