Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai has declared that his constituency will fully support President William Ruto for a second term. Speaking during a road launch in Nzombe, Mbai said the region will not tolerate opponents of the Kenya Kwanza government.

Mbai, elected on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, praised Ruto’s development record. He argued the president has earned the right to continue leading. “Some leaders have served for decades, yet they could not even tarmac a road to their villages. These are not the kind of leaders we allow to address us,” Mbai said.
He told opponents to campaign elsewhere. Kitui East residents are satisfied with Ruto’s leadership. “People who speak negatively about the president can do so elsewhere. Kitui East has declared them persona non grata. They are not welcome here,” he added, to loud cheers from the crowd.
Mbai pledged loyalty to Ruto and vowed to ensure the constituency votes for him in 2027. “Let those who want to say what they want do so, but we will voice our support. We will vote for you again, whether anyone likes it or not,” he said.
He warned anyone planning to oppose Ruto to reconsider. The MP stressed that continued support will allow the government to finish projects and deliver more development to the area.
The road launch highlighted progress under Ruto’s leadership. Residents echoed Mbai’s support. His statements underline the firm political stance of Kitui East. They also show his commitment to scuring Ruto’s Second Term.
