Terrorism is something that no nation, individual or President can wake up everyday and say he can fight against. It’s a malady that has affected the super powers of this world from USA, Israel, France, Nigeria to the world beyond. Terrorism is mean’t to divide people by creating fear and instability of nations hence achieving self less interest of terrorists.
Kenya is not so new to this as we have been victims to the acts of Terror since the year 1998 when terrorists bombed the US Embassy along Haile Selassie Avenue. Nearly 17 years later we are still vulnerable to such acts, as Terror needs 24 hours consistent surveillance and protection of each and every citizen which is not possible. No nation can protect each citizen because the police men are few.
France was the latest victim to the acts of terror and it’s quite sad to see families heart broken for losing their loved ones after gun men stormed the capital of Paris killing over 130 people. The saddest part of it all is to see individual complaining that France didn’t support Kenya during the acts of Terror but actually French citizens stood in solidarity with the families that had lost their loved ones.
When it comes to humanity we are one.
