A high-voltage clash is set for this Sunday in the Kenya Handball Federation men’s league. Reigning champions National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) face archrivals Ulinzi at Nyayo National Stadium. Fans are already excited. The rivalry promises speed, intensity and drama.

NCPB head coach Bryan Matthews is confident. His team dominated Ulinzi last season, winning both encounters. He wants to continue that run. Matthews says the squad has sharpened its defence and attack. Every match is treated like a final. The new league format means teams meet twice, making each game crucial.
“We are ready for Ulinzi. We will fight for maximum points. It is a tough match, but I’m confident we will win,” Matthews said. He added that the two-leg format allows teams to recover quickly. Still, he believes NCPB are ready for any challenge.
Ulinzi head coach Victor Ochieng is equally determined. His team has worked hard to fix past mistakes. They have studied NCPB’s style closely. Ulinzi’s last win over the Millers came in 2023. They beat NCPB 37–35 to lift the Super Cup. That victory motivates them to chase a league win after two tough seasons.
“We expect to win. We know their weaknesses and where to strike,” Ochieng said. He added that Sunday’s game could shape the title race early.
Both teams play on Saturday before the clash. NCPB face Kenyatta University, while Ulinzi take on Desert Scorpions. Their last meeting was in August’s Super Cup semifinals. NCPB won 30–23, showing they have the edge.
Sunday promises a thrilling battle. Both sides are determined. Fans can expect action, speed, and a fierce rivalry that will keep them on the edge of their seats.
