Pastor Ng’ang’a was Wednesday afternoon arrested outside Serena Hotel in Nairobi and was taken to the Traffic HQs to be processed before appearing in court over a fatal crash.
The controversial pastor had earlier filed an application to stop his prosecution before court, Justice Korir certifies case urgent, to be heard tomorrow.
Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko said Sunday there was evidence that he believes could sustain a conviction. Mr Tobiko added the Witness Protection Agency (WPA) had been roped into the case to ensure safety of witnesses. He said more witnesses had recorded statements with police officers and prosecutors handling the case. The team handling the file is expected to hand it in tomorrow for Tobiko’s final word on prosecuting the pastor.
