Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has cautioned residents against criticising his leadership, saying such remarks are attempts to distract him from development projects. He spoke during a public address on Monday, November 3, where he maintained that his focus remains on transforming Kapseret and Uasin Gishu. He said he will continue working regardless of online attacks or political tension.

Sudi told residents to concentrate on building their own lives. He said some of the criticism comes from jealousy and misinformation spread on social media. He assured those who missed out on recent empowerment programmes that they would still benefit in future. He revealed that KSh 28 million has already been allocated to support small-scale vegetable traders and other low-earning groups. He promised that the projects will be rolled out in phases to ensure fairness.
Sudi also accused his political rivals of inciting youth on platforms such as TikTok. He dismissed the online attacks as “petty” and claimed that those behind them have no development record. He insisted that while others talk, he is working. He warned that he will not tolerate attempts to create tension in the constituency.
Looking back at his 2013 manifesto, Sudi said he has always been open about the challenges facing the region, especially limited CDF funds and land issues affecting schools. He noted that many schools that once had mud walls and iron sheet structures now have tiled classrooms and improved facilities. He urged residents to compare past conditions with the current ones before forming opinions.
Sudi emphasized his commitment to education. He stated that he has personally sponsored many students, including adopted children. He said he will one day gather them to show proof of his efforts. He criticised some of his critics, saying they struggle to support their own families yet attack him over development issues.
Sudi concluded that leadership is a calling. He said some individuals will never rise to leadership because, according to him, “God sees their hearts.” He promised to continue improving schools, roads, and livelihoods, saying development will speak louder than criticism.
