Donald Trump has indicated that the United States could exit the ongoing war with Iran “very soon,” even as he maintains a tough military stance. Speaking ahead of and during a national address, Trump suggested the conflict may wind down within weeks, raising cautious optimism about a possible end to the fighting.

However, his message has created mixed reactions globally. While hinting at a near exit, Trump also warned that the US is prepared to intensify strikes in the short term. “We’re going to be out pretty quickly,” he said, before adding that further military action could still be necessary to secure American objectives. The combination of urgency and aggression has left many observers uncertain about the true direction of the war.

The conflict, which has stretched for weeks, has already caused significant damage across the Middle East. Key infrastructure has been affected, and tensions have spilled across multiple countries. The closure of critical oil routes, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, has disrupted global energy supply chains, sending fuel prices higher and putting pressure on economies worldwide.

Financial markets have responded with caution. Investors remain uneasy due to the lack of a clear and consistent timeline for peace. Oil prices have risen sharply, while stock markets in major economies have experienced declines. Analysts say the uncertainty is being driven by one key question: when exactly will the war end?

Despite the tension, Trump insists that the US has achieved major progress. He claimed that Iran’s military capabilities have been significantly weakened, reducing its ability to pose a broader threat. Still, Iran has shown no clear sign of backing down, and demands for a guaranteed ceasefire remain a sticking point in any potential negotiations.

Diplomatic efforts are ongoing, with some countries attempting to mediate between the two sides. However, no concrete agreement has been reached so far. The gap between military pressure and political resolution continues to widen, making a quick settlement difficult.

For now, the world watches closely. Trump’s promise of a swift exit offers hope, but his warnings of further strikes suggest the conflict may not be over just yet.
