Uhuru Kenyatta Steps In to Support Ailing Kikuyu Singer Njeru Thiga With Generous Donation

Former president Uhuru Kenyatta has joined Kenyans in supporting ailing Kikuyu musician Njeru Thiga. He sent a generous donation to help with treatment. The gesture has renewed hope for the singer and his family.

Thiga recently revealed he was diagnosed with a cancerous adrenal mass. The condition affects the adrenal glands above the kidneys. These glands control key body functions. They regulate blood pressure, metabolism and stress response. The illness requires specialised care.

After sharing his condition, Kenyans responded quickly. Support came in many forms. Donations increased. Prayers and messages followed. As a result, Thiga was able to travel to India for urgent treatment. On December 19, he shared photos at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. He was with his wife and philanthropist Karangu Muraya. He thanked those who made the journey possible.

Positive updates came soon after. Karangu announced that Thiga had started medication. He described the moment as a breakthrough. He thanked supporters for standing with them. He also asked for continued prayers.

Days later, another boost arrived. Thiga revealed that Uhuru Kenyatta had sent KSh 200,000. The donation came through Professor Olive Mugenda. Thiga thanked the former president for the support. He said it meant a lot to him and his family.

The donation drew praise online. Many Kenyans applauded Uhuru’s kindness. Others prayed for Thiga’s quick recovery. Messages of hope filled social media.

As treatment continues in India, Thiga remains hopeful. His story shows the power of unity. It also highlights compassion in difficult times.
