Why Gospel? Why did I or did you choose Gospel ministry and not secular or maybe something that might interest you. Why live for Christ and not party in the wild? some would ask.
What is Gospel ? Is it music dancing or something within. This is a question that is mind boggling if not disturbing. Is it a group, a person or books in the Bible , someone else inquired.So where did it all start or is it Jesus who started Gospel or was it before Jesus. Is it an act of worship or does it start when we read John 3:16 or 2Cor 5:17. I know now you are thinking where are this questions leading too.let me indulge you more.
According to Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel ). “Gospel is an account, often written, that describes the life of Jesus of Nazareth. The most widely-known examples are the four canonical gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.” We should put that on record that after Jesus raised from the dead he gave the disciples authority through the holy spirit and they started preaching the Gospel.
In 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, the apostle Paul summarizes the most basic ingredients of the gospel message, namely, the death, burial, resurrection, and appearances of the resurrected Christ. That puts it clear that the Gospel was the life of Jesus from inception till death.
In a nut shell, living for Christ is the true happiness in life not money not fame and not success. All these are just vanity as proclaimed in Ecclesiastes . Jesus is the Way , The Truth and The Light and Living his life that is his footsteps you will never go wrong.
My question for you today is ? Does Christ live in you? If yes is it the True Christ..If No what are you doing about it. I rest my Case
