“You Are Forever Part Of My Life”- Late Emurua Dikirr MP’s wife Tribute Moves Grieving Nation

Tears and silence swept through the memorial gathering as Naiyanoi Ntutu Ng’eno paid tribute to her late husband, Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno. The ceremony honoured six lives lost in the February 28, 2026 helicopter crash in Nandi County. But her words shifted the focus from titles and positions to love, family and shared dreams.

Standing before friends, leaders and relatives, Naiyanoi reflected on the early days of their marriage. She described a time when life felt uncertain but hopeful. “You are the life of my early days when everything was still soft and full of possibility,” she said softly. She spoke of growing together, learning together and facing adulthood side by side. In her words, he made difficult seasons feel lighter.

She remembered his joyful spirit. “Your laugh made ordinary days feel like a celebration,” she told mourners. The memory of that laughter, she said, still echoes in her heart. It was the sound that filled their home and bonded their young family.

Her tribute turned to his role as a father. She described how proudly he embraced his children. “You adored them, held them with pride and looked at them like they were your greatest accomplishment,” she said. To the children, he was a hero. To her, he was a steady and loving partner.

She confessed that his passing feels like losing “the music of my youth, the laughter, the dreams.” Yet she promised to safeguard the values and unity they built together.

The late MP will be buried on March 6. The other five victims, including the pilot and members of the delegation, will be honoured during a joint burial service at Emurua Dikirr Primary School.

As the community mourns, it is clear that beyond politics stood a devoted husband and father whose greatest legacy lives at home.
