Andrew Kibe is back in the political scene. The outspoken YouTuber has now revealed that he plans to run in 2027. His announcement has already sparked reactions across social media. Kibe shared a throwback campaign poster to make his message clear. He used the same poster during his 2013 campaign. At the time, he vied for the Lang’ata seat under Musalia Mudavadi’s UDF party. He lost, but the experience shaped him. He now insists he is returning stronger. He says he is wiser and more confident. He also says he has started planning early. The poster reminded Kenyans of Mudavadi’s “safe hands” slogan. It also revived memories of Kibe’s first political attempt.
His announcement caused mixed reactions online. Some wondered why so many people want to challenge Jalang’o. Others said Kibe is seeking attention. A few argued that he is adding pressure to the current MP. Kibe has clashed with Jalang’o before. He mocked him during the 2022 campaigns. However, he later congratulated him after the results were announced. Kibe now says he is ready for a rematch. He promises to bring more energy to the race. He also joked about his past marriage. He said he was “happily married” in 2013 but hinted that his life has since changed.
Kibe’s declaration adds new heat to the 2027 race. His supporters believe he can shake the ground. His critics doubt his strategy. However, Kibe remains firm. He says Kenya belongs to everyone.
