Daddy Owen Has a Pleasant Surprise For The “Unsung Heroes” Who Made Headlines Last Week

Last week, faith in humanity was restored when pictures of Westlands matatu driver, Josphat Mwangi and his conductor James Njau flooded social media timelines. The two have been spotted transporting the National Council of Persons with Disability staff, whose office is at ABC Place, Westlands, to their doorsteps at no extra cost after seeing them struggle to cross the busy Waiyaki Highway. The two have been taking time off during the city rush hours for two years now, to ensure the staff with varied degrees of disability get back home after work with no hassle.

However, their generosity has not gone unnoticed after award-winning gospel artist, Daddy Owen, expressed his interest in the two generous men by seeking for their contacts. The founder of Malaika Tribute Awards, who is partially blind on one eye, says that the “unsung heroes” need to be rewarded for their generosity and suggested that they should be included in next year’s Malaika Tribute Awards.

He expressed his thoughts in an instagram post by saying:

Daddy Owen appeals to the public with this message:
Ths are our unsung heroes. ..looking for thr contacts ..anyone? … Ths are guys who should be nominated for Malaika Tribute Awards next year. . Thank you guys for caring for people living with disabilities. .
