Citizen Tv’s Associate Editor, Alex Chamwada is one man who has passed through great hills and mountains. Alex Chamwada who began his journey in this industry as a volunteer researcher at KBC has gone out to reveal how he did cleaning jobs in the United Kingdom while undertaking his masters.
This was not when he had no job but it was a period when he had taken an unpaid leave from KTN to pursue his masters on Politics and the Mass Media at the University of Liverpool. This might have been hard for him to be out there studying without taking a single coin from KTN but Alex was a hard working man.
Alex says during that period :
” I did not hang the boots as I bought my own still and video camera’s and started filing stories for both KTN and Standard Newspapers and I would be paid as a contributor as my star in international reporting continued to grow. My first story from the U.K I remember was a feature about brain drain – featuring nurses and doctors who had quit their jobs in Nairobi of greener pastures in the U.K. On April Fool’s day, I went back to Citizen TV/Radio”
