Jeff Koinange has been released after being arrested earlier this morning.
Tv talk show host Jeff Koinange appeared before Milimani courts on Tuesday morning for contempt of court. The JKL host was reportedly to be charged for disobeying the court order but the magistrate was away hence he was released on a cash bond of 100,000/-.
Citizen tv reports that the court stated that the original files for the case could not be traced, hence the adjournment of the case.
Nairobi Senior Resident Magistrate Maisy Chesang last week issued a warrant of arrest against Koinange and analyst Tony Gachoka for failing to appear in court to answer charges of contempt.
The two are accused of discussing businessman Jimi Wanjigi, Sani Mbui Wanjigi and Kwacha Group of Companies Limited during Mr Koinange’s ‘Jeff Koinange Live’ show, despite a court order barring the discussion.
