The Kenya Television Network (KTN) has barred political commentator Tony Gachoka from appearing on Jeff Koinange Live. After remarks he made during the show claiming that the President Uhuru’s government was being held under siege by his Deputy William Ruto.
The JKL host noted that the decision to ban Mr. Gachoka from appearing on the show was largely reached by the station’s management and was all in the good of the public.
“I need to inform you the station’s management has decided last week’s guest Tony Gachoka will not be appearing on this show for the foreseeable future. This decision has been made for the interest of the public,” Koinange said at the start of the show last night.
During the previous show that was held on Thursday last Week, Gachoka claimed that the Jubilee coalition had already broken at the center and it was beyond salvage and he also pointed out that the President could potentially loose re-election if he insisted on having William Ruto as his running mate.He also asked the President to fire Cabinet Minister Anne Waiguru on allegations of graft.
These sentiments made Gachoka sparked anger among the Jubilee members with Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Jubilee’s leader of Majority Aden Aduale condemning Gachoka through twitter.
This also saw Jeff Koinange apologize and said that the show wasn’t intended to cause any discourse.
