Pastor Ng’ang’a is set to spend another night behind bars at the Gigiri Police Station until Friday as he awaits a pending ruling on bond application, after he denied all the charges leveled against him.
The Neno Evangelism pastor and founder has been charged along three others at a Limuru Court over the alleged killing of Mercy Njeri in a fatal car accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru on the 26th of July, leaving her husband Martin Mbugua Ndung’u with severe injuries.
The former televangelist was arrested on yesterday afternoon at the Serena Hotel as he allegedly tried to escape a police dragnet and detained briefly at the traffic police headquarters before being taken to Gigiri Police Station where he spent the night.
His arrest came after a directive was issued from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution Keriako Tobiko following investigations into the case.
