Will Smith Breaks His Silence After Jada’s Memoir Revelations

Jada Pinkett Smith is doing a press tour for her memoir, Worthy and she is revealing some serious ‘tea’. Jada is sharing shocking revelations about her marriage to the now estranged husband, Will Smith.

According to Jada’s memoir, she has not been staying on the same house as Will for years. Admitting that she and Will have been separated for six years before the infamous Will Smith slap that happened at the Oscars.

During the 2022 Oscars, Chris Rock made a joke about Jada’s shaved head and that did not sit well with Will. He then walked to the stage and slapped Chris Rock and said the infamous phrase, “keep my wife’s name out of you f- mouth.”

During her press tour, she shared that they had not referred to each other as husband and wife for a long time and the slap took her by surprise. She however decided to support him adding that it was her gift to him.

“Even though we had not been calling each other husband and wife in a long time, I said I’m his wife now. We in this. That’s just who I am. That’s just the gift I have to offer, like, hey, im riding with you.”

Will Smith sent an email to The New York Times where he explained his turbulent relationship with his estranged wife. The actor shared that the book made him realize a lot about his wife and they life they had together.

Will shared that the book ‘woke him up’ adding that he realized that Jada had been ‘living a life more on the edge than he thought.’ Will went on to express that Jada is resilient, clever and compassionate.

“When you have been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”

When Jada appeared on Jay Shetty’s podcast On Purpose, Jay read her a letter from Will Smith that was shared by the Associated Press on social media. After he read it, Jada made a light joke and became emotional.
