Airbnb vs. Hotel: Which is the More Affordable Option for a Group Getaway at the Kenyan Coast?

Hotels have taken a big hit with the introduction of Airbnb. Unlike the rigidity and the predictability of hotels, Airbnb offers a variety of and mix of options which is exciting for most travelers.

The Kenyan coast is a tourist destination all year long with whitey beach sand, affordable housing, slow living culture, and historic architecture. Both local and international tourists flock to the coast for vacations and even other businesses.

Your preferred accommodation at the Kenyan will depend on the length of the stay and the number of people. A business individual going to a meeting will preferably choose to stay in a hotel rather than an Airbnb due to convenience.

Airbnbs on the Kenyan coast are the most suitable for groups. A villa Airbnb on the coast may be able to host a group of eight onwards at a cheaper cost in comparison to staying at a hotel.

Airbnbs are more cost-effective in that the more days you stay the possibility of price reduction. Unlike most hotels whose prices are standard regardless of the number of people lodging.

The price comes at a cost (no pun intended), Airbnbs do not incur the cost of housekeeping and cooking they have to be outsourced. Hotels on the other hand come with all the amenities to keep you comfortable carrying the cost.

In choosing your preferred stay, one has to consider the hidden costs and evaluate your needs. It is not only about the cost but also the experience.
