AllanT ( Allan Thuo ) of Christian duo SPAT (with Saint P) had an interesting chat in which he talked about his journey as an artiste and also as a co-host.
We introduce Fact File (Get To Know) about our brothers and sisters pushing for Christ to the fullest. Here are some of the facts he shared on Christian Powered Radio
Fact 1 :
What does the Name PTWJ Mean ;
When we say “painting the world Jesus”, we mean using every opportunity and means possible to give every person a chance to hear about a God who loves them. We try to do this via our radio show, concerts, and any other available medium.
Fact 2 :
What do you consider when selecting music to be on the show? (artists take a pen n paper)
First of all, our show is urban, so most songs that we play are urban gospel, aka hiphop, dance, house, reggae, and R&P…..I know right now you’re wondering what is R&P. That’s our version of R&B, so rhythm and praise instead of rhythm and blues. DJ Sanch loves that!

How Did you Come Up With the Name SPAT :
Saint P and I did a song together for the Mad love mix tape, a collabo with Ecko Dydda, we realized that we should actually do more projects together. And so S.P.A.T was born. S.P.A.T stands for Saint P and AllanT. Simple.
Fact 4 :
Pushing the Gospel through music, what is your approach?
Simply, put the Word of God on an awesome beat and let people hear it and be blessed. Not compromising on the message to get more listeners, fame, and “stardom”. We use what God is speaking to us at that moment and then put it into a song for others to hear the same message.
Fact 5 :
what Bible verse would you say describes you?
I would love to say Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” is me all the time. However, Judges 6:12 “For the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon. He said, ‘The Lord is with you mighty warrior.’”
Even though Gideon was the least person in all of Israel because he was the least in his family and his family was the least in his clan that was the least in his tribe; God called him a mighty warrior and used him to liberate Israel.
This gives me courage that even though sometimes things are hard and I feel the least, God calls me a mighty warrior. I might not have a literal sword but I have God on my side and he’s called me to spread His Word to this generation.
