Diana Marua Becomes First Kenyan Female Artist to Hit 1 Million YouTube Subscribers

Diana Maruais breaking records and silencing her haters. The singer officially became the first female Kenyan artist with one million YouTube subscribers. The artist and content creator has also emersed 183 million views with only 699 videos.

Diana has shared some of the most controversial content about her life and that of her family on her YouTube channel. That includes secrets about herself before marrying Bahati her husband, family matters, her recent engagement and of course her gifting sprees.

In a video that was posted, someone was seen taking a phone to her as she broke the news of her new achievement. Shocked and happily surprised Diana celebrated her achievement. The mother of three then went online to share the news.

Diana shared on her Instagram, “team Diana we did it. First female in Kenya to reach a million YouTube subscribers. I’m still pinching myself. Thank you for supporting my journey since day one. I love you all. God did.”

Diana joined YouTube in 2019 as a lifestyle content creator and in 2021 ventured into music. Her music career was welcomed with a lot of backlash, with people critiquing her music. Regardless, her songs still bot numerous views on YouTube.

Back in July 2023 when Diana had 900k subscribers, she was ranked 6th most followed female content creator in Africa. She made it clear her aim was to be rank as the first eventually as well as hit 1 million subscribers which she now has.
