The director of public prosecution Keriako Tobiko has ordered that Pastor James Nganga be charged for causing death by reckless driving over Limuru road accident that took away the life of Mercy Njeri .
In a statement sent to the press rooms on Tuesday , Tobiko said : “I am satisfied that there is sufficient evidence disclosing a prosecutable case.”
According to an an eye-witness , Pastor James Nganga’s range rover Allegedly crashed into a saloon car upon which the driver of the car lost both of his legs and his wife dying on the spot. It is also alleged that the Nganga escaped from the scene immediately it happened.
Ng’ang’a will also be prosecuted for fleeing the scene of an accident, for giving false information to public officers and for “conspiracy to defeat justice.”
He’s facing the conspiracy charge alongside two officers, Christopher Nzilu Nzioka and Patrick Mbaya who are to also be prosecuted for neglect of their official duty, with Nzioka facing the additional charge of giving false information to a public officer
Nganga has since denied to be linked with the accident or to have ever been questioned by the police over the incidence.
“The people behind this are trying to kill my ministry” Nganga said in a phone interview with NTV .
