The Sonko Resuce team an initiative launched one year ago by the Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has been disbanded and the ambulances donated to the Nairobi County Government.This comes after an announcement made by the senator who officially donated the vehicles during his late father’s funeral service.
He instead stated that he was ready to work with Governor Kidero to ensure quality service delivery to the Nairobi people.
The rescue team, did offer ambulance services,hearse, car breakdown,water tankers,wedding limousines and security services to the Nairobi Residents at no cost. The team was complimented by a fully fledged website and a support centre.
He said his decision to disband the team comes after the support that Kidero had given him and his family during his moment of grief.
He noted that he is willing to work with the Governor and help him make Nairobi a better place,Sonko further asked Kidero to ensure he involves him in the county’s developmental affairs.
I promise to support him for the remaining term of office. In fact, if there is some work remaining, I will even support you for another term,” Sonko declared.
This move by the senator was seen as a reconciliation between the two leaders.
