Jacque Maribe Appointed Head of Communications in Ministry of Public Service

Former Citizen TV news Anchor Jacque Maribe is making headlines yet again only a month after being acquited. The journalist is back into the communication field.

Jacque was appointed Head of Communications for the Ministry of Public Service headed by Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria. This comes years after she lost her job as a news Anchor.

Back in 2018, the celebrated journalist was charged with murder alongside her ex fiance Joseph Irungu also known as Jowie. The two have since been in trial that ended back in February.

Maribe was found not guilty of the charges of killing business woman Monica Kimani while Jowie was found guilty and awaits his sentence. The proceedings were led by judge Grace Nzioka who later shared she got ridiculed for how she prolonged the case.

Dennis Itumbi took to his social media to express how elated he was over Jacque’s new job. He went on to express gratitude to Moses Kuria and the work he is doing for the current generation.

Other journalists who have joined government roles include former Citizen TV Anchor Kanze Dena and mogul investigative journalist Muhammad Ali who is now a member of Parliament.
